Fragile Longing, the long awaited stand-alone, mafia romance book by Cora Reilly is finally here . I don't think I've ever been more excited about a book release like I was for Fragile Longing. So lets get into this review .

Sofia is Serafina's yonger sister and Danilo is Serafina's ex-fiance. Danilo and Sofia were bound by unexpected circumstances to one another. After loosing his bride -to-be, Danilo's pride was wounded. He is now consumed with rage, hatred and vengeance. He spent so much time regretting the past and what was lost that he almost lost what was given to him.

“I’d always considered myself a loyal person, but at the first chance, I’d stabbed myself in the back, ditched my true self for an image I thought I needed to be, and where had it gotten me?”

.

Sofia was such a sweet and adorable character. She always lived in the shadow of her sister, ever after what happed people always compared her to Fina. She always tried hard to get everyones approval but no matter what she did or said it was never going to be enough, because she will never be Serafina.

We get to read and experience Sofia's growing up and turning into a woman and with that come many challenges especially when she was given at such a young age to the man that was supposed to be her sisters. You can imagine how a little girl and young woman deals with that.

Still less. Always less. Maybe, for a second, he would look at me with the same longing.

Sofia sometimes frustrated me in the first half of the book with her antics to get Danilo's attention but I had to remind myself that we all did stupid things for love and also when we are young. But i did love how she took control of her life and made Danilo work for her in the second half.

Many consider arrogance and pride a sin, and I was punished harshly for those qualities.

Now Danilo, I thought that he was the one of the proudest man in Cora's mafia world but man was i wrong i mean he is soo much more than that.. I absolutely loved him in the second half of the book when he was not blinded by his rage for Remo. And really worked hard to gain Sofia's trust and love again. He made me very angry at times but I couldn’t stay mad for long.Once you get to know the reasons for his attitude you can't stay mad at him and you will understand him much better. There are so many other sides to him apart from his rage and ruthlessness as the underboss such as, the loving son, the protective brother, the patient and sweet husband and the best father possible for his sons.

Fragile Longing is a long ride full of bumps but also with funny and lovely moments. In the end, they are perfect for each other. The contrast makes them fit so well and I’m glad they found their happiness after so many problems, I loved to read their moments together and how they developed theietheir relationship.

So in short ,the first part of the book pissed me off. Danilo was so uncaring and cold towards Sofia, and the things he did drove me crazy. Sofia interpreted his actions in her own way, thinking that Danilo was still in love with Serafina and he did not want her. However, the second part is where things get much better. Danilo knew that if he keeps pining after the past he will end up losing Sofia too. So he really did his best to make up for his mistakes. He was caring, gentle and sweet, he gave Sofia his all and at the end he knew that she was it for him. 𝑺𝒐𝒇𝒊𝒂 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒐 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆— 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒑𝒊𝒆 𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒃𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕.

There were many other things that i loved about the book and one of these were the tidbit glimpse we got about Anna and her personality and man i loved the girl before but now am just in awe of her. Anna is full of sass and confidence just like we her mother Valentine. I loved her friendship with Sofia. just waiting for her book now.And sweet Emma! Danilo's sister won my heart from the very start. But i didn't liked the way Samuel was treating her but i hope everything will get better after their wedding. I can't wait to read their books once they're published!!
